Wow, this one really tested my patience. It is actually painted on the back of a polo shirt. I started this one at the time I got called up for (my first) jury duty. The case was a hit and run that killed a teenage boy who was riding his bicycle home from work. He was turning across the road into his mother's driveway when a car came around the corner and hit him. (Drugs, alcohol and stolen car) Needless to say, my brain wasn't really in the right place for this one.
It took me a while to finish as I only painted a section every few days over two months. I used a lot of paper masks, and made a lot of changes to the bike and helmet compared to the black and white photo reference, because Casey's bike and helmet design had changed since the photo was taken. I had masked off the whole background to keep it clean.
Once the bike was done, I masked off a rectangle and put in the ground and sky. It looked kind of funny, so I put a black border around it. Better! Well, it didn't look too bad for a non rev-
